What Is An Architectural Designer? Do You Need One?
/An architectural designer is a professional who creates design concepts and plans for buildings and spaces, but typically works under the supervision of a licensed architect. While they perform many similar duties to architects, there are some key differences:
Responsibilities of an architectural designer typically include:
Creating initial design concepts and sketches
Developing detailed drawings and plans using CAD software
Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and vision
Working with other design professionals like engineers and interior designers
Helping ensure designs meet building codes and regulations
Preparing construction documents and specifications
Creating 3D visualizations and models
So what does this mean for you exactly? Do you still need a custom home builder as well as an architectural designer? Well, while these roles are different, they often work together closely on projects. Sometimes you'll find companies that offer both services, but they're typically distinct specializations. A successful custom home project usually requires both an architectural designer for the planning phase and a custom builder for the construction phase. And the great news is that Tony McClung is exactly that! He is your architectural designer and custom home builder, walking your dream home build process from ideation to completion.
